Learn more about how Empower Sleep works.

How do I get treatment through Empower Sleep?

Getting treatment with Empower Sleep is simple.

  • Complete a 5-10 minute questionnaire
  • We'll ship you a home sleep test straight to your door
  • You wear the sleep testing ring for multiple nights to capture data
  • Complete a one-on-one virtual visit with an Empower Sleep doctor to better understand your sleep
  • Based on your sleep test results and doctor’s recommendations, therapeutic options may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machines, prescription medications, or a referral to a dentist for an oral appliance
Why do we do multiple nights of sleep testing?

Our products and services are designed based on up-to-date science and research. Having more data helps us better personalize the care and deliver optimal outcomes. A leading scientific study found that one night of sleep testing is not as accurate as three nights, for example.

Where does the CPAP machine come from?

We work directly with a medical equipment partner will reach out to you via email and phone once they process your order to schedule delivery and setup.

Who are the sleep providers?

We have a team of sleep doctors who are fellowship-trained and/or board-certified in Sleep Medicine.

Can I use insurance with Empower Sleep?

Our mission is to make sleep healthcare more accessible, which is why we're accepting many PPO plans and Medicare for clinical visits and treatment. Before you start, our billing team will verify your benefits to ensure transparent pricing.

Can I use my insurance for CPAP machines and prescription medications?

Yes - That's the goal! You can receive the standard of care therapy, which is covered by insurance. There are nuances with co-payments and deductibles - these are individual to your specific plan.

What kind of home sleep tests does Empower Sleep use?

We use FDA-approved technology to aid in the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders. The majority of our sleep testing is completed using Sleep Image, which uses cardiopulmonary coupling to determine sleep apnea severity. Depending on the clinical circumstances we can use other sleep tests as well, including WatchPat, NightOwl and Dream Clear.

What do I do if I need a lab based home sleep test?

We have a national network of sleep labs that are credentialed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
